Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our events team, including Raceday meetings and other events onsite. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various environments. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that all areas are kept tidy and presentable, contributing to a positive experience for clients and visitors.
Note that this is not a full/part-time role and instead a 0 hour contract, where shifts are given out based on availability.
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, and communal spaces.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitise surfaces to ensure a clean environment.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning schedules and any issues that arise.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to travel to Newbury Racecourse
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse in English.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
