ROLE OVERVIEW
LuXClean Scotland Ltd is seeking a professional, reliable and detail-focused Cleaning Executive to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation within a premium automotive dealership in Glasgow, G52.
This is a high-profile, customer-facing environment where presentation, attention to detail and consistency are essential. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the dealership to a standard that reflects the quality and reputation of a premium automotive brand.
The role involves cleaning showroom areas, customer facilities, offices, workshops and other associated dealership areas while working safely, efficiently and discreetly around customers, dealership employees and high-value vehicles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cleaning Executive will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and presenting the main vehicle showroom to an exceptionally high standard.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and machine-cleaning tiled, carpeted and hard-floor areas.
- Cleaning showroom entrances, reception areas and customer waiting lounges.
- Cleaning and polishing internal glass, doors, partitions, mirrors and display surfaces.
- Dusting and wiping desks, furniture, counters, workstations and display areas.
- Cleaning customer refreshment areas, including coffee and tea stations.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and staff welfare facilities.
- Replenishing toilet rolls, hand towels, soap and other consumables.
- Cleaning offices, meeting rooms, staff rooms and administrative areas.
- Emptying waste and recycling bins and transferring waste to designated disposal areas.
- Cleaning staircases, handrails, skirting boards, doors and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintaining workshop offices, parts departments, service reception areas and MOT-related areas where included within the cleaning schedule.
- Removing fingerprints, dust, marks and presentation defects from customer-facing areas.
- Completing regular checks of entrances, reception areas and showroom floors during service hours.
- Responding promptly to spillages, wet floors or urgent cleaning requirements.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment, products and storage areas are kept clean, organised and secure.
- Reporting damage, maintenance concerns, safety hazards or low stock levels immediately.
- Following site-specific cleaning schedules, checklists and supervisor instructions.
- Supporting periodic deep cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor maintenance and internal glass partitions cleaning.
- Maintaining the appearance and reputation of both LuXClean Scotland Ltd and the dealership at all times.
PREMIUM PRESENTATION STANDARDS
- The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and wear the full LuXClean uniform.
- Work discreetly and professionally around customers and dealership personnel.
- Avoid disruption to vehicle sales, customer meetings and dealership operations.
- Take particular care when working around premium vehicles, display equipment and sensitive surfaces.
- Pay close attention to detailing, including corners, edges, glass, chrome, furniture and high-touch areas.
- Complete all duties consistently and proactively rather than waiting for cleaning issues to be reported.
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and presentation of assigned areas.
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cleaning Executive must:
- Follow all LuXClean and dealership health and safety procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals strictly in accordance with COSHH instructions.
- Wear the required personal protective equipment.
- Display warning signs when cleaning floors or responding to spillages.
- Follow colour-coding procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Use electrical equipment safely and report faults immediately.
- Take care when working around vehicles, machinery, customers and workshop activities.
- Never use unauthorised chemicals or equipment.
- Maintain clear walkways, emergency exits and customer access routes.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses and hazards without delay.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:

- Be comfortable working within a premium customer-facing environment.
- Demonstrate a professional and respectful attitude.
- Be physically capable of completing routine commercial cleaning duties.
- Be able to follow written cleaning schedules and safety instructions.
- Be willing to complete required company training.
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Be able to travel reliably to the Glasgow G52 area.
- DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- The following would be advantageous:
- Previous commercial cleaning experience.
- Experience within a car dealership, showroom, hotel, retail or corporate environment.
- Experience cleaning tiled showroom floors, glass and customer-facing facilities.
- Knowledge of COSHH, colour coding and safe chemical use.
- Experience using commercial vacuum cleaners, floor-cleaning machines or carpet-cleaning equipment.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate the correct attitude, reliability and attention to detail.

- Correct use and care of cleaning equipment and materials.
- Any areas falling below the required standard must be corrected promptly.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The role may involve:
- Early-morning, daytime, evening or weekend work.
- Working while the dealership remains open to customers.
- Standing, walking, bending and lifting during the shift.
- Working around vehicles, workshop operations and customer traffic.
- Handling approved commercial cleaning products.
- Occasional additional hours for deep cleaning, dealership events or operational cover.
