Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Care Home Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the care home are hygienic and well-maintained, supporting the overall well-being of our residents. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create a comfortable and healthy living space for everyone.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and corridors using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Maintain high standards of hygiene through regular dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and waste disposal
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
- Assist with laundry duties as needed to support overall cleanliness within the care home
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management for quick resolution
- Adhere to infection control protocols, especially in areas related to health-sensitive environments such as hospitals or clinics within the care home
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably within healthcare or care home settings
- Knowledge of hospital or healthcare environment standards related to cleanliness and infection control
- Prior janitorial experience demonstrating attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to cleaning tasks
- Good communication skills to report issues clearly and follow instructions accurately

Pay: £12.71 per hour
