Position Overview:
We are hiring a HGV Class 2 Driver, who will join our transport logistics team working with a dedicated customer with fixed delivery points. Reporting to the Transport Team Leaders you will possess a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service whiletransporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle care.
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday // 06:00-16:00
Salary: £15.10 p/h + overtime rates (paid monthly)

Location: CO7 7JW (Colchester)
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.

Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and print

Provide excellent customer service

Handle customer issues on delivery effectively

Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.

Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.

Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.

Ensure accidents are kept to a minimum and report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the companys accident reporting procedure.
Role Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (minimum of 6 months experience is required)

Valid CPC + Tacho

No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence

Experience in collecting and delivering palletised goods with a tai lift

Strong ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients.

Basic mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues and perform minor repairs if necessary.

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is advantageous.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
