Role Description
The Lock Room Technician is responsible for accurately assembling customer orders in accordance with TVL lock-kit instructions and ensuring they are dispatched within agreed service-level agreements.
This key role requires excellent attention to detail, a strong focus on quality and a commitment to providing high standards of customer service. The technician will also respond to customer enquiries by telephone and in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble lock kits and customer orders accurately, following TVL instructions and quality standards.
- Ensure completed orders are checked, packed and dispatched within the agreed service-level agreements.
- Verify that the correct products, components and quantities are included in every order.
- Immediately report stock shortages, discrepancies or other stock-related issues.
- Maintain clean, safe and well-organised working areas.
- Ensure all worktables are cleared and tidied at the end of each day.
- Keep stock areas tidy, accessible and free from packaging and other waste.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally by telephone and in person.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily productivity and service targets.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the line manager.
Key Performance Measures
Performance in the role will be assessed against:
- Productivity, including the number of parcels completed per team member.
- Accuracy and completeness of assembled orders.
- Order rejection, return and error levels.
- Achievement of dispatch deadlines and service-level agreements.
- Quality and cleanliness of the working and stock areas.
- Standard of service provided to customers.

- Experience working in a warehouse, production, parts or dispatch environment.
- Familiarity with stock-control and order-processing procedures.

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,800.00 per year
