We are looking for a passionate and experienced Cooks to join our friendly care home teams. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that cater to the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents, helping to create a positive dining experience every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook balanced meals, snacks, and special diets in accordance with residents' needs.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
- Manage food stock, ordering, and storage effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Home Manager and care team to accommodate residents' dietary requirements.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure an excellent dining experience.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Cook, Chef, or Kitchen Assistant, preferably within a care home, healthcare, or catering environment.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
- Understanding of special dietary requirements and allergens.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A caring and compassionate approach to supporting older people.
