Annicare North is recruiting experienced Mental Health Support Workers to join our team supporting a young girl on a 2:1 package of care in Lincoln.
This role involves providing 12-hour day and night shifts to support a young person with complex mental health needs, behaviours of concern, and a recent transition back into the community following a short period in custody. We are looking for compassionate, resilient individuals who can build positive therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and supporting a successful reintegration.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality 2:1 mental health support during 12-hour day and night shifts.
- Promote safety, emotional wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
- Follow and implement person-centred care and positive behaviour support plans.
- Support with daily living activities, routines, emotional regulation, and community engagement where appropriate.
- Complete accurate, detailed documentation and handovers.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary care team to deliver consistent, therapeutic support.
- Support the young person to develop independence, coping strategies, and positive life skills while managing identified risks.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 12 months' experience working in mental health or supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
- Experience supporting individuals following discharge from secure settings, custody, or other high-risk environments is desirable.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
- A calm, patient, and professional approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a 2:1 team.
Mandatory Training
Successful applicants must attend Annicare North's CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training before starting this package. This training is mandatory for all staff supporting this service.
