Healthcare Assistant (Nights)

Location: Penn, Wolverhampton
Hours: 20–40 hours per week (full-time and part-time available)
Shifts: Night shifts on a 7-day rota, including weekends and bank holidays
Start Date: Immediate start available
About Ashley Court
Ashley Court is a friendly 41 bed care home, specialising in residential and dementia care. Providing high quality, person centred care for older adults. We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our night team.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care throughout the night, including washing, dressing and continence care
- Support residents with mobility, repositioning and moving & handling
- Respond promptly to call bells and residents' requests for assistance
- Carry out regular welfare checks in line with residents' care plans
- Monitor residents for changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing and report concerns promptly
- Offer drinks, snacks and hydration support where required
- Complete night reports and care records accurately
- Carry out routine security and safety checks throughout the home
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain a calm, safe and secure environment
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience working in an elderly care setting
- Good written and spoken English
- Compassionate, reliable and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Right to work in the UK (we are not currently offering sponsorship)
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting residents living with dementia
- Moving & Handling training
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
