Keysight is seeking an Electronic Test, Calibration & Repair Technician to join our established service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their engineering career who enjoys working with electronics, technology, and hands-on hardware. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including technical education, apprenticeships, recent graduates, and individuals who have developed practical electronics skills through personal projects and hobbies.
The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of electronic instrumentation and gain experience in the measurement, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair techniques required to maintain precision electronic equipment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians while building practical skills across a broad range of test and measurement technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain multiple electronic test stations, typically controlled through PC-based software

Perform measurement and analysis of electronic signals using appropriate test equipment

Accurately record completed work in service documentation and internal systems

Follow established calibration and service processes to maintain quality standards

Collaborate with colleagues to meet service, turnaround time, and performance objectives

Support continuous learning and development across a broad range of test and measurement technologies
Qualifications:
Who We're Looking For
We are interested in individuals who are passionate about electronics and enjoy understanding how technology works. Professional industry experience is valuable but is not the only route into this role.
Candidates may have gained relevant experience through:
Technical education, apprenticeships, or university study
Building or upgrading PCs and computer systems
Repairing computers, gaming consoles, mobile devices, or other electronic equipment
Personal electronics projects and hobbyist activities
Laboratory work completed during education or training
Technical support or engineering-related work experience

Essential

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C or equivalent), including Maths, English, and Physics

Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical work

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Confidence using computers and software tools in a technical environment

Strong written communication skills for documenting technical activities

Interest in electronics, technology, troubleshooting, or hardware-based systems

Advantageous
A Level 3 qualification or higher (including apprenticeship, BTEC, HNC/HND, foundation degree, or university degree) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
Exposure to calibration activities or an understanding of calibration principles within a laboratory or service environment
Experience with fault-finding, troubleshooting, repair, or electronic test and measurement equipment
Familiarity with PC-based technical or engineering software
