How will you make an impact?
This role will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring inventory and material requirements to ensure uninterrupted production.
Working within the Procurement team, this will be a supplier-interfacing role, whilst also collaborating closely across Logistics and Manufacturing to maintain optimal stock levels in order to support the fulfilment of customer demand.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of a defined portfolio of suppliers, ensuring effective oversight and performance management.
- Take ownership of supplier pricing by negotiating competitive rates, obtaining and reviewing annual pricing updates, and maintaining a clear understanding of anticipated annual spend by supplier.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to support Production.
- Optimise inventory levels to ensure the right balance between maintaining sufficient stock for production and avoiding excess inventory.
- Proactively manage supplier delivery issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely, effective solutions.
- Liaise effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure goods are correctly booked in and released into production
- Maintaining, improving & reporting on KPIs – including, but not limited to, supplier OTIF & RFT.
- Conduct supplier visits to assess performance, strengthen relationships, and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information across internal systems, ensuring data integrity and smooth operational processes.
- Manage purchase requirements closely via the MRP: placing purchase orders, actioning reschedule requests.
Experience, Knowledge and Education:
- Previous Procurement or Supply Chain experience.
- Experience within the Manufacturing industry.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with MRP systems.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- A strong understanding and use of Microsoft 365 - Word, Excel, PPT
- Previous experience in engineering/aerospace industry (Desirable).
Skills and Abilities:
- Work confidently with multiple internal departments on a daily basis, including Engineering, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and Commercial.
- Communicate progress and key updates effectively during internal meetings.
- Demonstrate a proactive, “can‑do” attitude and adapt well to changing customer requirements
- Be self‑motivated, organised, and capable of managing time effectively across a varied workload.
- Lead meetings with confidence, driving actions and ensuring follow‑through.
- Ability to manage expectations and meet internal and external deadlines and targets
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and strong organisational skills.
