Options Greathire is a European leader in the hire of fabulous furniture, tableware & catering equipment for all events, banquets, celebrations and receptions, with 23 offices around Europe and 1000 employees. The Options Greathire UK offices are located in London and Manchester.
We hire out tableware (plates, glasses, and cutlery) along with furniture (chairs, tables, bars, sofas, and shelving) and as such you would be working with these items daily.
Our clients (including caterers, 5 star hotels, industry leading event planners, wedding planners, venues and private clients) demand the very best products for their events.
What we expect from you:
Our Drivers are an integral part of the business being the first point of contact on site for clients and with our transport office when delivering and collecting.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will work in a demanding, challenging, fast-paced and competitive environment ensuring that all deliveries and collections are made with the highest standard of service.
Your main responsibilities will include delivering and collecting products safely and also putting our furniture into position onsite and liaising with clients.
This role is a 40 hour a week role and we are a business that operates 24 hours 7 days a week.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all paperwork for deliveries and collections is completed accurately for clients.
- Verify that the correct products are loaded onto your vehicle and conduct thorough vehicle checks.
- Review and acknowledge the daily job routing orders.
- Handle, transport, and set up furniture/equipment at client-specified locations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with clients onsite.
- Obtain and document proof of delivery and/or collection.
- Communicate efficiently, consistently, and accurately with the transport office.
- Thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism.
- Be a Team Player at all times and especially during quieter periods, where help will be needed in other departments in the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your work area and abide by Health & Safety at all times.
Person specification
- Holds a clean driving license and experience as a Class II driver.
- Experience in the manual handling of heavy items.
- Maintains a professional appearance and takes pride in representing the company.
- Embraces a “can-do,” hands-on approach to tasks and challenges.
- Demonstrates professionalism in all interactions, both internally and with clients.
- Excels as a collaborative team player, working effectively across departments and onsite with clients.

Preferred Backgrounds: This role is ideal for candidates with experience in:
- Removals companies and/or Furniture delivery companies.
- Catering and/or Lighting equipment companies.
Experience:
- Delivery driver: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving License and HGV Licence (required)
Salary level is negotiable for the right candidate.
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
