Nursery Practitioner
40 hours per week
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Baby Room Practitioner to join our nurturing early years team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting babies during their earliest stages of development and creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where they can thrive.
You will play an important role in supporting emotional, physical, and developmental needs while working closely with a supportive team and building strong relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and supervision for babies in the nursery.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports early development.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, movement, and early learning.
- Support babies’ individual routines, including feeding, sleeping, and personal care.
- Monitor and record children’s development, progress, and daily routines.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children by following health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Support children with additional needs or developmental differences where required.
- Use positive behaviour management approaches appropriate for babies and young children.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, sharing updates and supporting transitions between home and nursery.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming baby room environment.
- Administer first aid when required and respond appropriately to any health or safety concerns.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working with babies or young children in a nursery, daycare, nannying, or similar childcare setting.
- Good understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEND is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £12.82-£13.80 per hour
