As a Baking assistant, you will work closely with staff and be responsible for day-to-day tasks under the guidance of the and Head Baker. Your role is crucial in maintaining the Company’s key goals, including kitchen cleanliness, food preparation, and service. You will receive tasks from your line manager to complete efficiently throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Work under our Head Baker to ensure the smooth running of the Bakery, collaborating with our front of house and kitchen teams.
- Consistently work to company standards and specifications within the Bakery team.
- Ensure cakes, bread, and pastries are produced to specification and in a timely manner.
- Communicate any shortages of ingredients to our Head Baker.
- Load deliveries of bakery goods/ingredients into the correct department, ensuring organisation is upheld.
- Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning check sheets to a high standard.
- Follow Health and Safety policies, processes, safe working practices, and SSBB standards as shown in the training document.
- Carry out other duties on a regular or ad hoc basis as required or directed by the Management team.
- Use and store stock correctly, utilising a first in first out (FIFO) system.
- Report all building and equipment defects and breakages to management immediately for prompt repair.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
