Salary: £45,000 to £50,000

Bayview Contracts Ltd is seeking an experienced Buyer to support procurement across our home energy and residential upgrade projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials and plant, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Source compliant materials and plant in line with project requirements
- Negotiate competitive pricing, bulk deals, and fixed-term agreements
- Raise and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Work with Contracts and Site Managers to control costs and support project delivery
- Monitor budgets, supplier performance, and supply chain risks
- Coordinate deliveries to meet live site schedules
- Liaise with Finance on invoices, pricing, and payment queries
Requirements
- 4–5+ years’ experience in a Buyer role within home energy, construction, or a main contractor environment
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills
- Good knowledge of materials procurement, plant hire, and supply chain logistics
- Organised, proactive, and detail-focused
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
