Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to incidents, ensuring the safety of all individuals on site.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary until professional assistance arrives.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Must have appropriate current SIA badge.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment.
- Certification in first aid is highly desirable; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
