An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering projects across the public and private sectors.
Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you'll support senior surveyors while taking responsibility for key aspects of project delivery across a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This role offers excellent exposure to clients, commercial management and professional development within a growing consultancy environment.
The Role
- Delivering pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
- Measuring and valuing construction works
- Producing cost reports, financial forecasts and commercial updates
- Assessing variations and supporting final account negotiations
- Supporting procurement and contract administration activities
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance
- Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders
- Working across projects using JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Taking ownership of key project tasks under the guidance of senior surveyors
- Supporting fee bids, case studies and business development activities
About You
- RICS-accredited Quantity Surveying degree
- 2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Consultancy experience
- Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract services
- Experience preparing cost plans and cost reports
- Understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Commitment to achieving or progressing towards MRICS status
- Ideally Contract Administration and Building Safety experience and confident managing projects independently
