Overview
We're looking for an experienced Electrician to join our growing engineering team carrying out installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and fault finding on a wide range of electrical systems.
The role also offers the opportunity to develop within our fire and security division, working alongside experienced engineers on CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Installation & Maintenance
- Carry out domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
- Fault finding and reactive maintenance.
- Consumer unit and distribution board replacements.
- Emergency lighting installation and testing.
- Small works and remedial repairs.
- Complete NICEIC certification accurately
Security Systems (Training available)
- Install, commission and maintain CCTV, intruder alarms, access and door entry systems
- Diagnose and rectify faults
- Full training will be provided where require
Compliance & Safety
- Work in accordance with BS7671 (IET Regulations), NICEIC and SSAIB requirements, company procedures and current Health & Safety Legislation
- Carry out risk assessments and method statements before commencing work.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and product developments.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are used and maintained safely.
- Adhere to work processes for Jobs as per procedure manual
- Represent Dragon professionally at all times.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Explain faults and recommendations clearly.
- Identify opportunities for remedial works and improvements.
- Ensure every job is left clean and tidy.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- Current 18th Edition (BS7671 qualification
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for electrical work.
- Demonstrable electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Desirable
Inspection & Testing (2391)
- Experience with CCTV, Intruder Alarms and or Fire Systems
- Experience with SSAIB standards
