Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and dependable Construction Labourer to support various onsite construction activities. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople, handling tools and materials, and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout the project. Responsibilities
- Assist with general construction tasks including loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, welders, electricians, plumbers, and painters in their daily duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
- Help with site preparation, including setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage
- Follow schematics, blueprints, and instructions to aid in fabrication or installation tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support with masonry work, plastering, roofing, or other specialized tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience or willingness to learn on the job
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Basic understanding of construction processes such as roofing, masonry, or carpentry is a plus
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work effectively in a team setting
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of schematics or blueprints is advantageous but not required
- Reliable attitude with strong work ethic and eagerness to develop new skills
