Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Tea Rooms Chef to lead the culinary experience in our charming historic tea room setting. Duties
- Run the daily operations of the tea room kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production
- Prepare and cook a variety of soups, sandwiches, scones, light meals and baked goods with precision and creativity
- Manage food inventory, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste
- Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver a warm and welcoming experience for all guests - ensuring front-of-house are kept up to date on low stock items.
- Maintain accurate records of food production activities, safety checks, and team schedules
Requirements
- Proven experience of working in a kitchen that has fast paced service within hospitality or cafe environments, with a focus on food production and preparation
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices
- Excellent cooking skills across a range of menu items typical for tea rooms or cafes
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to oversee daily operations confidently
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or culinary certifications preferred but not mandatory; relevant restaurant/cafe experience is essential
- knowledge in baking (cakes, scones) preferred but training will be given to the right person who is willing to learn.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
