Don & Low are currently seeking a passionate and time-served Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team in Forfar. This will be based on a 4 on 4 off pattern, 12 hour shifts.
This is a hands-on role where your mechanical expertise will help drive operational excellence across our manufacturing plant. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining plant and machinery to the highest levels of efficiency, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting the continuous operation of our production processes.
Reporting to the Plant Engineer and working closely with the Shift Leader, you'll coordinate maintenance activities, carry out planned preventative maintenance, support installation projects and respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment faults. You'll play a key role in troubleshooting engineering issues while ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety procedures.
What we are looking for:
- Time-served Mechanical Engineer
- Ideally qualified or trained in the opposite engineering discipline
- Educated to HNC or City & Guilds level (or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and bench-work skills
- Practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or textile environment is preferred
