Job Description
Medinet is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cancer Nurse Specialist (Dermatology) to support services at Peterborough City Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to dermatology cancer patients.
Key Responsibilities
Run face-to-face outpatient dermatology clinics (6 clinics per week, 4 hours each)
Provide specialist support and care for patients with dermatological cancers
Break bad news with sensitivity and professionalism
Attend weekly MDT meetings (Monday mornings)
Review test results and contribute to patient treatment plans
Manage patient follow-ups, including responding to calls and voicemails
Complete administrative duties related to patient care and outcomes
Requirements
Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
Proven experience as a Cancer Nurse Specialist
Experience in dermatology or oncology is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, including experience delivering difficult news
Experience running independent outpatient clinics
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Role Structure
6 outpatient clinic sessions per week (4 hours per session)
1 MDT session (Monday mornings)
1 admin session (reviewing results)
1 session for patient calls/voicemails
