Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Locum Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team on a temporary basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality dental hygiene services, promote oral health awareness, and support our commitment to patient care excellence. As a Locum Hygienist, you will play a vital part in maintaining the health and confidence of our patients through professional hygiene treatments and education.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
- Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and personalized care routines to enhance their dental health outcomes.
- Utilize advanced dental tools and technologies such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for treatment planning when applicable.
- Support the dental team by assisting with radiographs, medical imaging, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with practice protocols and data protection regulations.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to guarantee a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Qualified Dental Hygienist with valid registration/license to practice in the relevant region
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, especially oral structures, to provide precise treatments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and reassure patients effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Pay: £30.00-£50.00 per hour
