Job description
A vacancy has arisen for a Ready Mix Sales & Distribution Co-ordinator within our busy ready mix department in our Glenrothes office. The role will involve dealing with customers mainly via telephone and email and occasionally face to face, working closely with our sales team and our ready mix batchers & drivers. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, customer service awareness, work well in a small team as well as on their own and have the ability to process information accurately. Excel skills are essential.
Main duties include:
- Receiving and processing orders.
- Planning and scheduling haulage to ensure deliveries are made on time.
- Liaising with customers and ready mix plants.
Skills needed:
- Customer service experience.
- Effective communication; face-to-face and by phone in particular.
- Attention to detail
- Excel spreadsheet and formula
- Knowledge of transport/construction industry would be beneficial.
