Purpose of post
Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
Give support, training and mentoring to other team members throughout the nursery
Work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.

Team members: Nursery Nurse, Nursery Assistant and Trainee/ Modern Apprentices

Requirements
- Minimum of level 3 qualification in Early Years
- A passionate caring individual committed in delivering the highest quality child care
- Excellent English written and communication skills
- A sound Knowledge and understanding of child development and the EYFS
- Ability to work on own initiative
The key duties are:
- To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
- To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
