Electrical-Bias Mobile Service Engineer – Conveyor Systems
About the Role
We are seeking a Electrical-Bias mobile Service Engineer to join our growing conveyor support team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and fault-finding across a range of conveyor systems used in fast-paced industrial environments.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and travelling to customer sites to keep critical equipment operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned maintenance and servicing of conveyor systems, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels
- Electrical fault-finding on 24V/230V/400V systems, including safety circuits and PLC-controlled equipment
- Mechanical adjustments, belt tracking, roller replacement, and component swaps
- Responding to planned maintenance and delivering efficient reactive repairs
- Completing service reports, documentation, and customer communication to a high standard
- Supporting installation, commissioning, and upgrades of conveyor equipment
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety requirements, including LOTO and safe isolation procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served electrical engineer or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or similar)
- Strong electrical bias with solid mechanical understanding
- Experience working on conveyors, automation, or material-handling equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose faults confidently
- Comfortable working independently and travelling to customer sites Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be willing to be away from home on average a minimum of 3 nights a week
