Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to high standards
- Support chefs with ingredient organisation and basic cooking tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Help with serving food to customers or staff as required
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and stored correctly
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Support stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen setting
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary

Pay starting at £12.71 up to £13.50 depending on experience
