Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating an articulated lorry to deliver and collect refrigeration equipment efficiently and on time. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery services. Duties
- Loading of the vehicle to ensure that customers equipment is safely loaded and secured to minimise the chance of damage to the equipment.
- Confirm with Operations Manager and Loader that the load is correct.
- Upon arrival to the delivery site ensure that the delivery is safe to make and to respect customer’s property. If in doubt consult with the Customer and/or Operations Manager.
- Unload vehicle with Moffett Mounty and obtain signature to confirm delivery.
- Deal with any customer issues on delivery effectively and politely. If extra assistance is required contact the Operations Manager.
- To operate the Moffett Mounty/fork lift safely and in accordance with the correct procedures.
- Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.
- Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab
- To provide support in the yard/factory as required by the Operations Manager
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
- Current CPC and digital tacho card essential
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Moffett Mounty and fork lift licence preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of current road laws and safety standards relevant to heavy goods vehicle operation.
- Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as securing loads and assisting with cargo when necessary.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational demands.

Location
Your normal place of work will be Bond House, New Road, Sheerness, Kent, ME12 1BB. You will be required to work all across the UK delivering and collecting from our clients/customers premises within the UK.
Work Pattern
This role is based on a 40-hour working week, typically Monday to Friday. However, regular weekend working, bank holiday working and overnight stays (night outs) are an expected part of the role to meet customer and operational requirements.
