Job Vacancy – Shop Assistant / Cashier
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and responsible Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handling the cash counter and processing customer payments
- Handling customer queries and providing good customer service
- Arranging, filling and displaying products on shelves
- Checking stock and informing management when items are running low
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Checking product prices and expiry dates
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy and organised
- Sweeping and mopping the shop floor
- Following the daily task list for day-to-day shop operations
- Ensuring assigned daily tasks are completed properly and on time
- Helping with other general shop duties as required
Requirements:
- Honest, punctual and responsible
- Friendly and polite with customers
- Willing to carry out cleaning and general shop duties
- Basic maths and cash-handling skills
- Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous retail/cashier experience is preferred but not essential
- Training will be provided
