Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our clean water team. Safeguarding the quality, reliability, and performance of drinking water across our region. We work across complex network systems, enhancing, maintaining, installing, and repairing infrastructure from pipes to water meters, to ensure consistently high-water quality. Through proactive network management and resilient engineering, we help ensure communities have safe, dependable water supplies every day.

What will you be doing?
- Cost of Failure Investigations: Lead and support investigations into cost of failure incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative actions to minimize future occurrences.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Provide coaching and guidance to field teams and planners on best practices, quality standards, and compliance with StreetWorks regulations.
- Noticing Compliance: Act as a subject matter expert on noticing compliance (NRSWA), ensuring all works are correctly registered and closed out to avoid penalties.
- Cost Reduction: Work collaboratively with the operations team to identify opportunities for cost savings, particularly those related to defects, fines, and inefficient processes.
- Defect Performance: Proactively monitor and analyse defect performance data, developing and executing strategies to drive continuous improvement and reduce the number of works requiring remedial action.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with highways authorities and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and effective issue resolution.
- Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on quality metrics, defect trends, and cost of failure, providing actionable insights to senior management.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in a StreetWorks, civil engineering, or related administrative role.
- Strong understanding of NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) and noticing procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and identify solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with both internal teams and external authorities.
- A proactive approach to quality management, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in using StreetWorks management software and standard office applications.
