Role Overview
Fleetwood Town Football Club is offering an exciting opportunity for a coach to support the delivery of coaching across the Youth Development Phase.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the Youth Development Phase programme, ensuring all players receive an outstanding age-appropriate development curriculum that supports individual player progression, coach development and the successful transition of players through to the Professional Development Phase.
You will be part of a forward-thinking Academy with a strong track record of developing players who progress through the football pyramid and regularly feature in the First Team. The role is based at the Club’s £10 million Poolfoot Farm training facility.

Essential
· UEFA B Licence – Working towards UEFA A
· Experience working within a Category 1 or 2 Academy
· Knowledge of EPPP
· Clean driving license and access to their own vehicle
· FA Emergency First Aid Level 2
· Safeguarding Qualification
Key Responsibilities
· Work with the Academy Head of Coaching to implement an age specific coaching curriculum in the Youth Development Phase, in line with the playing and coaching philosophy of the Academy, ensuring the effective planning, delivery and evaluation of every session is recorded on Kitman Labs.
· Lead on the delivery of coaching sessions within the Youth Development Phase (U15-U16).
· Review the progress of YDP players on Kitman Labs in accordance with the Academy review process.
· Work with the Head of Coaching to identify, co-ordinate, deliver and review all individual development plans for all players within the YDP (U15-U16) including the delivery of player development case studies.
· Work closely with the PDP Lead and Academy Management staff to track progression of players with the potential to progress into the Professional Development Phase.
· Work closely with the Transition Phase Lead and Academy Management Staff to track progression of players with the potential to progress into the Youth Development Phase.
· Coach a selected age group within the YDP, delivering the curriculum and philosophy, also support varied age groups within the Fleetwood Town Academy, as required by the Head of Coaching.
· Work towards own Coach Development Action plan (DAP) agreed between you and the Head of Coaching, in line with the Coach Competency Framework (CCF).
· Manage YDP coaches and support staff to deliver the coaching curriculum and academy philosophy, modelling best practice, at all times.
· Be responsible for the organisation of tournaments, tours and festivals for the YDP, alongside the Head of Coaching.
· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the holistic development of all players within the YDP. Including the planning, delivering and reviewing of the Day Release programme.
· Co-ordinate the daily operations of the YDP, with and arrange training, fixtures, and additional fixtures to meet player needs. This involves managing the inventory and distribution of kit and equipment, deal with match officials and communicating with players and parents.
· Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians.
· Contribute to the building and recording of Academy best practice sessions
· Take an energetic, purposeful, and measurable approach to recruitment.
· Act as a Safeguarding Champion, embedding a safe and inclusive environment for all young people, parents and staff
· Attend all CPD as a instructed by Head of Coaching and/or Academy Manager
· Carry out any other duties as directed by the Academy Manager and Head of Coaching
