The Role
We are looking for an ambitious, resilient, and self-driven individual to join the team to continue to build on the company’s services for millions of people across the globe. The main requirement of the role is ensuring a safe, efficient, and timely delivery of all vessels and cargo.
Daily Tasks
The position is Monday to Friday with possible out-of-hours on-call work as per vessels requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Taking ownership of cargo shipments of up to 85,000 tonnes, full control of the vessel on the 14 days to two month-long voyages by continuous email and phone correspondence with charterers, ship-owners, and the ship’s crew.
Calculating bunker supplies, co-ordinating between bunker suppliers, traders, port agents and the captain of the vessel.
Organising the loading and discharge operations at port, ordering the co-operation of port agents, obtaining quotations, and fulfilling vessel obligations in high-risk areas at sea.
Undertaking laytime calculations, vessel hire statements, and freight payments to settle monetary matters with the respective parties.
Experience/Skills
Shipping Operations experience in the dry bulk industry required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient at wording emails to individuals from all backgrounds.
Self-motivated with high attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
Ability to adapt to company practices and the enthusiasm and capability to improve existing methods.
Additional languages desirable but not essential.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
