Job Summary
As a member of the sales department, you will be overseeing fruit inventory, volume requirements and logistics. Coordinating and managing the process from packhouse to customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement Microsoft D365 and offline inventory control systems (inbound, onsite movements & outbound), working closely with the sales team & sourcing to ensure optimal inventory is always maintained.
- Managing product storage, inventory, packing & distribution.
- Maintaining customer forecasts and forecast accuracy whilst keeping an accurate record of the inventory.
- Liaising with warehouse and logistics to ensure correct pallet requirements are being allocated and product is prepared for Outloading.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to develop and implement a continuous improvement plan to improve processes and maximize operational efficiencies.
- Work in conjunction with the sales, supply chain and operational teams to ensure all sales volumes are supplied and pre-planned accounting for any external factors such as vessel changes.
- Proactively communicate daily and weekly product needs according to fruit size, pack, grade, label requirements, country of origin, volume changes and any potential changes.
- Managing logistics including inbound containers, documentation, transportation and customs clearance.
- Develop and implement cross functional process links.
- Develop and implement best practice Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Supply Chain & sales functions.
- Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers and customers.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of prior work experience in supply chain/or Inventory, preferably in a perishable industry.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be beneficial.
- ERP implementation skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, develop new and adapt existing spreadsheets.
- Excellent ability to analyse data timely, efficiently, effectively, and multi-task projects / assignments simultaneously.
- Analytical: Above average ability to independently evaluate trends, explore areas for improvement and provide possible solutions.
- Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail.
- Ability to stay focused on prioritised tasks, while handling emergency situations during times of high stress or heavy workload.
- Balance team and individual responsibilities for group efficiencies.
Pay: £34,000.00 per year
