Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team DURING WEEKENDS. Successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and organisation of ingredients as directed by senior kitchen staff
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Support the team in organising stock and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed diligently throughout the shift
- Assist with general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy and safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking processes, or hospitality operations is desirable
- Experience working in a busy kitchen setting demonstrates ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety standards within a culinary environment is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for learning about culinary practices and supporting a professional kitchen team
