Job Overview
Join our team as a part-time Office Cleaner for an office based in Blackburn where the hours are 5pm-7pm Monday to Friday. Along with this, a few regular residential cleaning jobs will also be given during the day.
All cleaning products will be provided.
Cleaner must have their own car so they can travel and go to the customers themselves.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of office spaces, including desks, floors, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Dust surfaces, empty trash bins, and sanitize high-touch areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently during scheduled shifts without disrupting daily operations
- Follow health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security while working within office premises
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners safely and effectively
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate loads, and stand for extended periods
