Dental nurses are essential to patient care, ensuring surgeries run smoothly and patients feel safe and comfortable. Once qualified, this role offers excellent long-term job security and opens clear pathways for career progression—including advanced clinical skills, practice management, or further study to become a Dental Hygienist or Therapist.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside our experienced clinical team, full training will be provided to help you master the following:
- Chairside Support: Assisting dentists and hygienists during clinical procedures, preparing materials, and passing instruments.
- Infection Control: Maintaining strict decontamination and sterilization standards in the surgery and decontamination room.
- Patient Care: Welcoming patients, putting them at ease, and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
- Clinical Administration: Managing stock levels, processing dental radiographs (X-rays), and handling lab work.
- Reception Support: Learning our practice software to book appointments, answer phone inquiries, and process payments.
What We Are Looking For
- Personal Qualities: Caring, empathetic, punctual, and reliable with a mature, professional attitude.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, good computer literacy, and the ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
- Requirements: Suitable for school leavers (16+). Successful candidates must pass a standard DBS check and be immunised against Hepatitis B (or willing to undergo vaccination).
