Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals within private home care settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive, respectful, and personalised care. Prior experience in home care or healthcare environments is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with day-to-day activities such as daily care and assistance, food prep and meal planning, accessing the community, appointments and social outings.
- Provide a range of personalised support to Allow the individual to live as independently as possible.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Support patients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting and transfer assistance
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Manage individual changes effectively, especially in cases involving Dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in health status
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safety at all times
- Uphold health and safety standards in compliance with organisational policies
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
- Familiarity with medication administration and first aid certification is advantageous
- Experience with behaviour management techniques for individuals with cognitive impairments
- Ability to perform light physical tasks such as meal preparation and operating a hoist when necessary
- Valid driving licence is required for transportation duties
