What will you be doing:

Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and decorating throughout the home.

Complete regular checks in line with Oakland Care's Health and Safety, Emergency and Fire policies and procedures.

Monitor and maintain equipment, fixtures and fittings.

Make sure gardens, grounds and outdoor areas are safe and well-preserved.

Assist with planned maintenance programmes and contractor visits.

Perform basic plumbing, painting, carpentry and general maintenance tasks.

Support with keeping accurate maintenance and safety records.
What you need to succeed:Previous experience in a similar maintenance, caretaking or facilities role.

Possess good practical skills across a range of maintenance duties.

Understand Health and Safety requirements within a workplace setting.

Is proactive, organised and able to work independently as well as being a team player.

Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with older people.

Takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Ability to remain calm under pressure.
