We’re looking for an enthusiastic and friendly retail team member to join our team at Yield N16.
If you’re passionate about wine, cheese, charcuterie and more deli products, enjoy helping customers discover something new, and know how to make people feel welcome, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to know everything about natural wine from day one. We’re looking for someone with curiosity, personality and a genuine desire to learn. If you already have wine and cheese knowledge, even better!
THE ROLE
This is much more than simply selling bottles and meats.
You’ll be helping customers choose the perfect wine and cheese, talking about producers and styles, keeping the shop looking fantastic and supporting our small wine bar and deli operation.
One moment you might be recommending a bottle of wine for a special occasion, or serving something from our charcuterie and artisan cheese menu.
It’s a varied, hands-on role where your personality and passion for great customer service can really shine.
YOUR DAY COULD INCLUDE:
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable service
- Helping customers choose natural, organic wines
- Selling wine and deli products
- Using the till and processing customer purchases
- Receiving deliveries and replenishing stock
- Keeping shelves, displays and retail areas organised and attractive
- Helping maintain accurate product information
- Cutting cheese to order and slicing meats for our take away customers
- Supporting wine tastings and special events
- Opening and closing duties
- Keeping the shop, bar and customer areas clean and welcoming
- Learning about new wines, producers and products
- Getting involved wherever the team needs you!
WHO WE ARE
Yield N16 opened its doors in 2015, followed by our sister shop, Yield N1, in 2021.
We’re a neighbourhood bottle shop specialising in natural, organic and biodynamic wines, alongside craft beers and a small, ever-changing selection of cheese, charcuterie and small plates.
Our customers can enjoy our products in the shop or take them home, making Yield the perfect combination of specialist retail and relaxed hospitality.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in retail, wine shops, deli shops
- A genuine interest in wine, food and customer service
- Some knowledge of wine or a strong desire to learn
- Confidence talking to customers and making recommendations
- A friendly, approachable and positive personality
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence using tills and basic retail systems
- The ability to work well as part of a small team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- A willingness to learn and get involved

- Full-time position – approximately 40 hours per week
