Advanced Technical Trainer – Construction Plant
Location: Nantwich, Cheshire
Position: Full-Time, Permanent - 37 Hours per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Advanced Technical Trainer – Construction Plant to join our growing team at a leading college based in Nantwich. This is an exciting opportunity for an industry expert to deliver high-quality technical training and support learners in developing the skills required for successful careers within the construction plant sector.
As an Advanced Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training across a range of construction plant disciplines. Working with apprentices, full-time students, and commercial learners, you will help develop industry-standard skills, ensuring training meets current employer and sector requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality apprenticeship training aligned with industry and accreditation standards.
- Inspire and mentor learners through engaging theory, practical sessions, and assessments.
- Conduct vocational assessments on-site and off-site across national programmes.
- Collaborate across the Engineering department to share expertise and support delivery.
- Provide ongoing guidance to apprentices and employer partners.
- Uphold health, safety, compliance, and safeguarding in all activities.
The successful candidate will:
- Industry experience in Construction Plant operations, maintenance, or engineering.
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
- Strong teaching, training, or mentoring skills (teaching qualifications desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and qualifications.
- A passion for innovation and inspiring the next generation of rail professionals.
