Night Shift Baker
Stonehouse Bakery – Liverton Mines
We're looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our night production team at Stonehouse Bakery — a growing, modern, community-focused bakery where quality and teamwork come first.
- £12.80 per hour during your probationary period, rising to £13.20 on successful completion
- Full-time — five nights per week, typically 40 to 45 hours
- Pre-authorised sixth days paid at 1.25× your hourly rate

About the Role
This is a hands-on bakery role where you'll be trained from the ground up.
You will:
- Assist in bread and product production
- Learn to operate bakery ovens
- Pack and organise orders for shops and wholesale
- Maintain high hygiene and safety standards
- Keep work areas clean and organised
- Work closely with a supportive night team
The role involves regular lifting, carrying and working at pace, particularly during busy production periods — ideal for someone who enjoys active work.
Shift Pattern
- Start time: 5:00pm
- Finish: usually between 1am and 2am
- During peak periods of higher demand, later finishes are common.
- The bakery runs 6 nights a week, Sunday through to Friday night
- You work 5 nights per week (one night off during the week and Saturday)
Who We're Looking For

- Reliable and consistent
- Hard-working and willing to learn
- Able to work at pace during busy periods
- A team player — this is a very close-knit group
- Takes pride in quality and doing things properly
- Lives locally OR has their own transport (essential due to shift time)
Experience is welcome but not required — full training is provided.
