Job Overview:
The Portobello Hotel, part of A Curious Group of Hotels, is a luxury boutique property in Notting Hill, and we are seeking a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance of this property. They will be working alongside our Group Project Manager and the House Managers to ensure that strategic planning of any refurbishment of the property, so to ensure that we maximise operations and guest satisfaction in a pro active manner. You would be responsible for ensuring that costs are managed according to budgets, and that we can deliver the standards of hospitality that we pride ourselves on.
Duties:
- full accountability for fabric of the hotel & to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations ( water, electricity, Fire, legionella, PAT testing, lift checks)
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs or installations
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Planning of preventative maintenance
- Manage stock on a regular basis to ensure we do not run out , however, balancing efficiency and monitoring from a cost element.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory levels.
- This is a hands on role.
Skills:
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership skills with excellent communication.
- Excellent project management capabilities
- Ability to manage and maintain various mechanical systems, and knowledge of plumbing, decorating, and with refurbishment experience
- Previous experience in a similar property or luxury venue is required.
