THE TEAM
This role sits within our Gatwick Operations team, reporting to the Director of Gatwick. You will be at the heart of one of our busiest and most high-profile bases, working closely with internal teams, airport partners, and ground handling providers to deliver a safe and efficient operation.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Ground Operations & Contracts Manager – Gatwick, you will be accountable for the success of the daily operation at our flagship base. Acting as the senior operational representative, you’ll play a critical role in real-time decision making, operational planning, and stakeholder coordination.
> Act as the senior easyJet operational representative at Gatwick, accountable for operational stability and delivery
> Lead coordination with Gatwick Airport, ground handlers, and the Integrated Control Centre to deliver the daily flying programme
> Own A-CDM performance, ensuring timelines and flight plans are optimised and targets are met or exceeded
> Develop and evolve SOPs in collaboration with internal teams and third-party partners to ensure consistent standards
> Identify operational risks and lead mitigation plans to protect performance and customer experience
> Represent easyJet in operational briefings, clearly communicating priorities and requirements
> Lead the response to operational disruption, making timely and effective decisions under pressure
> Drive a culture of continuous improvement through insight, analysis, and proactive feedback
Requirements of the Role
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
> Proven experience within airline or airport operations with strong operational and regulatory understanding
> Ability to assess complex situations quickly and prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment
> Strong problem-solving capability with experience in structured or lean environments
> Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex information clearly for different audiences
> A collaborative leader who builds strong relationships and empowers others to deliver
> A proactive and resilient mindset with a focus on delivering operational excellence and customer outcomes
> Eligibility to obtain an airside ID pass, including 5-year referencing and background checks

PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Gatwick and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office. You may be required to work at other locations in the network with manager approval.
