Overview:
A charming fast-growing accountancy practice is on the lookout for a Client Manager to lead the team, maintain high technical standards and support continued expansion and growth.
This is a role with a strong client focus, responsible for managing daily operations and supporting the continued expansion and growth of the company. The position offers a pivotal chance to shape the practice's future direction and growth.
This role is Monday to Friday office based.
Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed
Your Main Duties:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of SME clients, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
- Use of CCH Software
- Prepare year-end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A and FRS105
- Prepare tax computations and CT600s, and review VAT returns
- Identify opportunities to grow client portfolios and support business development
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal quality procedures
- Collaborate with senior management to improve operational efficiency
- Act as primary contact for key client relationships, ensuring clear communication
- Supervise a small team, ensuring SLA compliance and statutory deadlines
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to the team
- Review team's accounting/tax work, give feedback and training
- Support managers in planning and monitoring KPIs (e.g., stats, timesheets)
About you:
- Significant UK practice experience with a client facing role
- Minimum 3 years, UK Practice Experience
- Proven leadership in practice and team management experience
