Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of anatomy and a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from tension through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create a calming atmosphere for clients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Perform various types of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess client conditions and tailor treatments accordingly to promote healing and relaxation.
- Maintain a clean and organised treatment room, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised.
- Provide aftercare advice to clients to enhance their wellness journey.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy.
Requirements
- Valid certification in massage therapy from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Days required: Sunday and one/two id-week evening with scope for further shifts
