We are currently recruiting for a bookkeeper to join our team working a minimum of 25 hours per week. This position is to start as soon as possible and you must be able to hit the ground running. We use Xero and Sage cloud and Sage 50 desktop for most clients so good knowledge is essential.
Your typical day will involve:-
- Maintaining purchase ledgers
- Maintaining sales ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Keeping neat and tidy notes
- CIS returns
- VAT returns
- Additional ad hoc duties
- Posting journals
- Bookkeeping up to Trial Balance
About you:-
- Must be competent on Xero and Sage Accounting
- Knowledge of excel
- You will have a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- You will have attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be local to Wakefield/Dewsbury for meetings when required
- Fun and friendly
- Can do attitude
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Worked in practice previously (evidence is required)
