EMBS is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Approved Electrician to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity to become part of a professional business delivering high-quality commercial and industrial electrical projects across a wide range of sectors.
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, leads by example and can be trusted to represent the company to the highest standard. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, leading projects on site and supporting the development of junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver commercial and industrial electrical installations to the highest standard.
- Carry out inspection, testing, fault finding and commissioning.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Lead projects on site while maintaining excellent safety, quality and workmanship.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices and junior electricians.
- Complete project documentation accurately.
- Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and the wider team.
- Take ownership of projects and solve problems proactively.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- AM2 qualification.
- ECS Gold Card.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (preferred).
- Proven commercial and industrial electrical experience.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

The Role
Our workload varies throughout the year and includes projects across Lancashire as well as contracts requiring working away from home.
While we always aim to maximise local work where possible, this cannot be guaranteed. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, adaptable and willing to travel or work away when project requirements demand it.
We’re looking for someone who understands the nature of the industry, is committed to supporting the business where needed and approaches every project with a positive, professional attitude.
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
