We’re recruiting Behaviour Buddies to support children across a range of primary schools on the Wirral from September 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve success in the classroom.
The Role
- Providing tailored support to pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs
- Working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
- Supporting children to regulate their emotions and engage positively with learning
- Promoting positive behaviour strategies in line with the school’s policies
- Working closely with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviours
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Experience within schools is desirable, but we also welcome candidates with transferable skills from care, youth work, mentoring or support work
