H10 London Hotel is looking for a Commis Chef for hotel (part time 20h-25h per week)
We are looking for a passionate person with experience in a professional kitchen, graduates from professional cooking school looking to growth as chefs in their professional careers. Spanish notions or knowledge about the culture is appreciated.
This is a hotel with 177 rooms, 2 conferences rooms and different menus for its bars and restaurant.
On top of the salary you will get £73.75 pound per month as travel compensation after your first full month of employment. Service charge on top.
You will be working on a rota basis mainly during the evening time (5pm to 11 PM) Spanish Restaurant and Bars supporting our kitchen team on days off and annual leaves.
Duties that you can expect from us:
- Prepares food for Restaurant, Meetings & Events, Bar.
- Produces food as directed using modern methods, equipment and fresh foods
- Ensures all food cooked and served is of a high quality
- Ensures Kitchen areas and equipment are maintained to the highest possible standards of cleanliness and safety
- Uses of a high level of cooking skills in the production of new food dishes using modern food technology and methods
- Under the supervision of Senior Chefs, maintains systems regarding quality, stock control, portion control and minimizing wastage
- Works alongside all members of the Kitchen Team to ensure standards and good working relationships are maintained
- Keeps all areas, tables, walls, floors and other surfaces clean and tidy
- Prepares raw vegetables as requested by Sous Chef
- Storages food in the correct manner
- Prepares salads and sweets for lunch time service
- Prepares staff food
