Your future role:
As a Project Supply Chain Leader, you will lead the establishment and continued development of standard process implementation. You will be involved in developing and implementing standard process to the TSGNL project in line with the Supply Chain function requirements.
We'll look to you for:
- Day to day management of the Supply Chain depot team.
- Lead the team in maintaining material availability and the delivery of all material requirements.
- Control of the project material spend & BTG.
- Drive unplanned material spend down through engagement with the relevent functions and suppliers.
- Material cost variance analysis and reporting using the material TAC (Total At Completion) model and associated KPI's and reports.
- Manage the development and maintenance of an accurate SAP CBOM (Costed Bill Of Materials) to drive materila forecasting and planning.
- Optimise inventory levels ensuring availability.
- Responsibility for the safe storage of materials and consumables for the Brighton site.
- Implementation of logistics management processes to secure the supply base.
- Ensure that perpetual inventory policies and procesures are in place and are adhered to.
- Adhere to the platform warehousing strategy for the control of materials both on site and at external facilities.
- Develop appropriate KPI's to measure performance to drive culture and behaviours.
- Support strategic locations to enable all fleets to be furnished with their material requirements.
- Establish and implement bogie and wheelset storage and management methods.
- Using the TAC model ensure a clear pvernance process is in place to identify potential project over/under spending.
- Ensure all inventory targets are achieved.
- Continuously build organisational capability using all HR processes and procedures including:
- Selection and recruitment
- Performance management
- Development planning
- Talent management
- Succession planning
- Training
- PMP (People Management Process) delivery management.

- A good understanding of how sub-functions are integral to the train maintenance value chain.
- Knowledge of warehousing and logisitics.
- Importance of portfolio projects in relation to UK SAP, ERP, CBoM.
- Materials analysis and inventory management.
- Warehouse and stock checking/management.
- Governance and safety.
- Experience in relevant roles and in managing complex projects.
- Successful track record in reducing and controlling costs.
- Proven experience in business process re-engineering using IS/IT and change programs.
- Negotiation and leadership skills.
- Proven record of logistics management.
- People management experience.
