To support the Technical Department and deputy in ensuring the company operates to the highest quality and food safety standards. To continuously monitor and improve the quality and safety of products in collaboration with all departments.
Key tasks include:
- Daily Quality Audits of production records including CCP’s and QCP’s.
- Daily Quality Panels start and end of the product shelf life.
- Incoming goods checks, ensuring packaging, raw materials and co-packers match specification.
- Review and filing of Factory QA Records and random checks on production’s records.
- Oversee and perform metal detection, baking temperature/time and product weights.
- Ensuring a good level of hygiene is performed by hygiene team.
- Support the Technical Department investigating customer product complaints.
- Collect samples for the laboratory, including product, allergens, environmental and water sample.
- Retain the routine factory start/end of product shelf-life samples in house and/or for the Laboratory.
- Ensuring compliance to the factory Verification and Calibration programme.
- Temperature monitoring of Chillers and Freezers.
- Glass and Hard Plastic Audits and any other Audit required.
Experience:
- Minimum one-year experience as a Q/A or similar role within a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of baking process advantageous.
- Computer literate
- HACCP principles
Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE level.
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
- High level of numerical ability.
- Food safety knowledge.
